  • Our Pedi recommended Similac RS when LO was diagnosed with Reflux. He never spit up, just wiggled when he ate and screamed afterwords. Similac changed the name to Similac Sensitive for spit up - took forever for me to find. The formula has Rice Starch (hence, RS) as it's main ingredient to thicken the formula and help with the reflux. This caused constipation so we add a tsp of prune juice to each bottle. To avoid the bubbles and help this thicker formula to disolve, we let it sit in hot water for 5 minutes before serving. Highly recommend this product if your LO has reflux!

what is the difference between similac sensitive and similac sensitive rs for spit up. • We use Similac Sensitive for Spit Up because LO has GERD. It worked great. I switched from every other kind of Enfamil (from newborn, to premium to AR) to Similac (Soy, Advanced, Sensitive) and this one finally worked for us. It still gave LO gas and constipation but with solid food in the mix now, his constipation is going down. I also add Mylicon drops into his formula to help him with gas problems.
