The rugged, all terrain stroller that gets you wherever you want to go in style, ease, and comfort. The new Quinny Buzz Xtra takes your favorite stroller to the next level.
The Quinny Buzz should come with a 'WIDE LOAD' warning. It's very awkward to negotiate around shops, but in open spaces it's just fine. It doesn't feel as sturdy as it looks though. You won't make friends if you live somewhere with narrow pavements or rely on public transport a lot.
Once you get the hang of it, its simple enough to collapse & to attach the adaptors for the car seat. However, it took me months to get used to the carry cot buttons, despite regular use.
Its a simple one-handed unfold, but collapsing is more awkward. It will collapse in one piece in the right configuration and comes apart easily when you need to transport it in 2 pieces. It fits into the boot of a small car when taken apart.
We haven't had any major problems with it at all, but I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.
I have a Quinny Buzz bought in 2009 with an older seat-style than the one pictured here, so my review may be a bit out of date. Am currently using it for my second child.
Both babies have HATED the cot attachment. DC2 seems to cling on, feels very insecure in it so I always pop him in his car seat. The frame has lasted well over 2 kids but have had loads of punctures, recently bought some 'slime' protector from cycle shop which seems to have done trick.
When I bought it I thought I would be doing a lot of walking through parks, and this pushchair is pretty good for that (apart from the punctures and front wheel spinning wildly and getting stuck in mud/snow). As another reviewer has mentioned, it is wide on buses and through shop doorways.
Also, the pneumatic opening is dangerous (this may have been updated on newer models but mine opens up from folded with just a small tug on the handle). One of my friends got her finger caught in the pushchair when it did this. It was lucky I was there as you need two hands to reopen it. It's also a pain when it decides to open itself as you are lifting it out of the car boot! I know how to handle it now but don't let anyone else touch it when folded in case they get an injury.
The Buzz Xtra also features a super comfortable cushioned fabric seat for your child which can be installed in either forward or rear-facing directions. The stroller can be used from birth when combined with a Quinny Tukk foldable carrier or a Maxi-Cosi infant car seat. With all this and more, the Quinny Buzz gives you a feeling of total freedom.
