In Europe, Nintendo didn't confirm a formal price cut since individual retailers set their own prices. However, starting October 4, 2013, the company reduced the wholesale price of the system to retailers. Coinciding with the system's price cut, Nintendo released a limited edition Wii U Deluxe Set bundle. The bundle included a black Wii U console with 32 GB of storage, a black Wii U GamePad decorated with a golden and other thematic symbols, a download code for the game and, in North America, a digital copy of , a collector's book about series. In Europe, Nintendo also released a limited edition Wii U Premium Pack bundle. Both European bundles featured a 7-day trial of the service. Nintendo did not cut the price of the Wii U in Australia or New Zealand nor did it release any of the previous bundles in the regions.
