Made a realistic Narwhal plushie. I wanted a plushie that was much more realistic than all the others you see around. His body measures in at about 10 inches with a 3.5 inch horn. He is hand painted with fabric paint. There was no way to get the coloring right otherwise. All the spots and everything are completely done by hand. His coloring is not symmetrical because real narwhals are not. Narwhals get more and more white as they age so his coloring suggests this guy is rather old. Hope you like him!
Narwhals are a unique creature that live in the Arctic. Although their "horn" is actually a large tooth, I like to think of them as the real life unicorns of the sea, and have designed the pattern with the horn towards the top of the head. If you prefer to create a more accurate model, simply sew the horn closer to the bottom of the face. This pattern shows you how to create a narwhal plush toy in three different sizes. Size A is the smallest, and is great for a tiny collectible or can be used as an ornament or in a mobile. Size B is the next size up and is great for small children or to be displayed on a shelf. Size C is the largest and is perfect for older children or to have as a bed or couch decoration.
Snuggling this purple narwhal plush is like snuggling a cloud filled with sparkles while being serenaded your favorite song. Or so I’ve been told. Every inch is made of ultracuddle fleece which is one of the softest MATERIALS: around, making for a very snugly plush.
Want a different size or color of narwhal? You can find more options in the narwhal section of my shop:
