This terrible photo (bellow) is trying to show you one of the toy racks dedicated to game related merchandise. They have all sorts of gear here, from recent Mario themed board games, through to figures of Ken in Street Fighter.
There have been a couple different Super Mario board games released since the ’80s and ’90s. This particular game was released by Milton Bradley in 1988. Players advance through a series of 4 worlds to eventually reach the final castle and save Princess Peach. There are also cards to use against opponents like fireballs, Goombas, and other similar resources. The game is fun and it’s pretty classic in regards to the Super Mario video game series.
I could see these two board games being imported here in the U.S. and maybe in Europe as well since these are not very complex games. The other Mario board games in the past involves cards but reading the text could be problematic since all of them are in Kanji. Hit the link below to see both games in action.
